Volunteer Opportunities · Western Springs, Auckland
Department Volunteer Opportunities
Employment Type Volunteer

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A POSITION IN OUR VOLUNTEER TEAM

We invite you to come take advantage of the chance to operate our trams while earning your EduBits micro-credential qualifications.

We offer two separate EduBits micro-credential qualifications.  We will give you the training needed to get your Conductors license and then you may take the next step into Motorman’s license.

Our Tram Crew at MOTAT help deliver a safe and efficient tram service that enhances the museum experience.  You will operate the tram between our two MOTAT sites while actively engaging with the tram passengers and contributing to a welcoming environment.  Tram Crew share historical information about the trams as well as the Museum with passengers, while keeping them updated with any upcoming events.

MOTAT was founded in 1964 by volunteers passionate about preserving Auckland’s transport heritage.  Volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and play a vital role here.

Requirements:  Hold a current New Zealand driver’s license, communication and people skills are a must. Experience in transporting people is a bonus.

Getting Started:  The first step is to express your interest by applying below. We will then be in touch for more information on this volunteer opportunity and how to proceed.

Thank You
