MOTAT is an interactive museum with a focus on creating a fun, visually stimulating environment for its visitors, especially children, families and education groups. MOTATs public spaces are set over two sites and that host exhibitions, workshops and event spaces.
We require a gardener to help ensure our grounds are well presented for visitors. You will be involved in maintaining MOTAT’s public sites by providing input and creating planting plans as well as executing these. Under the guidance of the Landscape Coordinator, you will carry out regular garden maintenance and weeding according to approved practices as well as procure supplies as required for the completion of landscape and gardening related work.
Ideal applicants will have 2 years demonstrated experience in landscape maintenance with an understanding of horticulture requirements and irrigation systems. You will have the ability to use relevant equipment and machinery, these including a ride on lawn mower and industrial weedeater. A basic weed spray ticket would be an advantage, but not essential. Having a full driver’s licence is a requirement of the role.
